Peppermint & Chocolate Lip Balm with Beeswax

After many years of making homemade lip balm, I can confidently say that nothing compares to this simple recipe made with organic beeswax, coconut oil, and cocoa butter, which leaves lips soft and deeply nourished.
Serving Size 13 tubes

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Beeswax organic preferred
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa butter raw unfiltered
  • 10 drops peppermint essential oils food grade

Instructions

  • Create a double boiler by placing a glass bowl over a saucepan. Add the ingredients to the double boiler, minus the essential oil.
  • Put the burner on low to medium and melt the oils together. Once the oils are melted, turn off the burner and carefully remove the glass bowl. Add the essential oil drops and mix.
  • Use the pipette and add the melted oil to each tube. You should be able to fill 13 tubes. The oil will solidify quickly, within 5-10 minutes.
  • Let the tubes sit in a cool place for at least a few hours to solidify completely.
