Passion For Saving Money

My husband and I quickly learned how to pinch pennies when we got married and moved to Texas to further my husband’s education. I became the breadwinner and learned that my little salary wasn’t going to carry us far. I learned that saving money was possible when buying groceries, and I submerged myself into couponing and creating cheap meal plans.

Many years later, I no longer coupon, but I adhere to the same principles to save money on our groceries. I buy in bulk, only purchase what we’ll eat, and focus on eating a real whole foods diet. For our family of 6, we aim to only spend $1,000 per month on groceries. I prepare all of our meals each day, and I’m excited to show you how I do this on a budget.

Credentials

I am a self-taught home chef, with a degree in elementary education. Though I don’t work in the classroom setting, I teach other mothers daily to pick better brands, make better eating choices, and save money along the way.
