Honey Almond Flour Cake with 1 Minute Chocolate Frosting
This cake is my favorite cake recipe! I love how the honey caramelizes in the oven and makes a super rich and moist cake. It’s also super easy ingredients and it comes together in a snap!
The frosting recipe is a 1 minute recipe and I mean it’s as easy as they come! I don’t really like to whip up frostings because of the time… I know it’s bad. I just like simple easy recipes, and this frosting recipe is just that! The added bonus is that it’s sweetened with coconut sugar instead of white granulated sugar.

Honey Almond Flour Cake with 1 Minute Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients
Honey Almond Cake
- 1 cup almond flour finely ground
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup melted butter coconut oil works too
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
1 Minute Chocolate Frosting
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup butter unsalted
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk any kind will do
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Grease an 8X8 baking dish, set aside.
- Whisk all cake ingredients together, then pour into your baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes, or until done in the center. The cake will be spongy feeling, but should not giggle in the middle.
- The cake is going to look very golden brown, that is what you want! That means the honey has caramelized!
- For the frosting, combine all ingredients except for the vanilla extract. Bring to a boil over medium heat, boil for 1 minute.
- Take the frosting off the heat, add the vanilla extract, stir well.
- Pour frosting over warm cake. The frosting is going to be very runny, however, when it cools it's going to become a thick fudge!
