Instant Pot Frozen Chicken
Instant Pot Frozen Chicken
This is one of my favorite reasons for having the Instant Pot! I love it even more for those times when the chicken is still super frozen, and dinner is going to start in a few hours… That’s when I pull out my Instant Pot and know that my chicken is going to turn out perfect!
For this particular recipe, I used 2 packages of chicken, that I got for $.67/lb, because I love batch cooking. That means I can cook at least 2 meals at one time, so tomorrow I don’t have to worry about dinner! It’s seriously the best method of cooking, and having a big batch of shredded chicken in the refrigerator is so nice.
For these chicken packages, pictured above, I let them sit on the counter for a few hours, just so that I could pull the frozen chicken thighs apart. Let me just say though, they were VERY FROZEN still. I also recommend using bone-in chicken when doing this because it adds so much more flavor to the chicken meat and broth AND bone-in chicken is SO MUCH CHEAPER!
