Instant Pot Applesauce
Instant Pot Applesauce
I make applesauce often, very often in fact! Stove top applesauce doesn’t even come close to how amazingly rich this instant pot applesauce is. As you can tell by the picture above, the color is very deep. The flavor is just a big punch of WOW apple and cinnamon, I couldn’t even believe it when I first made it.
Instant Pot Applesauce
Ingredients
- 10 cups chopped apples any variety, cut into large chunks
- 1 cup apple juice (water works too)
- 1/4 cup honey or sweetener of choice
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. lemon zest
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together in the Instant Pot.
- Touch the Manual button, then adjust the time to 10 minutes.
- Once the timer goes off, do not touch it. The Instant Pot has to naturally release the pressure, do not quick release or applesauce will fly everywhere!
- I like to take a potato masher and mash up the apples into a chunky sauce.
- Note: if the sauce is more runny than you like, then thicken it with a little cornstarch or tapioca starch.
