Does Sweet Hummus Really Taste That Good?

The answer is yes! Have you noticed the trend of dessert hummus in your grocery store? Some chains now carry an ample supply of dessert hummus, so yes, it’s a thing! Chocolate, pumpkin spice, apple pie, brownie batter, and salted caramel are just a few of the popular hummus flavors now. Hummus has adopted a sweetness, and we are here for it! Chickpeas, also known as Garbanzo beans, are so versatile that they take on whatever flavor you add to them. So they are the perfect vessel for a sweet, healthy treat. Rather than buy pre-made hummus loaded with unnecessary ingredients and preservatives, I prefer to make my own for my family! I created this peanut butter cinnamon version because those are flavors my family loves. I think you will too!

Give It A Try!

It’s simple to make, uses ingredients you likely have on hand, and comes together in basically one step. You can whip it up before the kids get home from school or first thing in the morning to have available. My kids love to eat it with apple slices or pretzels! However, you could also serve it with crackers, pita, toast, bagels, or dried fruit. Give it a try, you will be glad you did!
