Health Benefits of Cranberry Fruit Punch

The stars of this healthy fruit punch are its tart and colorful berries, bright citrus fruits, and natural sweeteners. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants from real fruit juices, berries, and lemons, the vibrant fruits in this recipe are great for immune support and hydration. Naturally sweetened with honey or agave nectar and containing no refined sugar, dyes, or artificial ingredients, you won’t feel a sugar crash after drinking this beverage. This punch is refreshing and gut-friendly, with ingredients that support digestion and reduce inflammation, which is why we enjoy drinking it throughout the year.

A Crowd-Pleasing Punch

Since we make this punch year-round, it is perfect for many events and gatherings! Everyone always remarks on the bright flavor, the perfect balance of sweet and tart, and how refreshing it is. Consider serving cranberry fruit punch at your next picnic, potluck, or summer BBQ. With the ingredient ratios listed below, my recipe will serve 10-12 people (and you can easily double or triple the quantities).

What You’ll Need

  • Water
  • Orange juice
  • Cranberry (or pomegranate) juice
  • Lemon juice
  • Honey or Agave
  • Frozen mixed berries
  • Orange
  • Sparkling or plain water

How to Make Cranberry Fruit Punch

This is an easy dump-and-go punch. Find the right-sized vessel. You can use a glass punch bowl, a large glass mixing bowl, or a large pitcher. I prefer to use my large lidded Mason Jar. Glass works best, so you can showcase how beautiful this punch is when it comes together.

Start by adding the water, orange juice, lemon juice, cranberry juice, and honey to your vessel and mix well.

Next, add the frozen berries directly to the liquid and stir. Add orange slices to the liquid, and reserve some for garnishing glasses.

Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours. Then, add in the sparkling water at the very end, just before serving, so the drink is fizzy and crisp.

Now you’re ready to serve a chilled punch. For presentation, I prefer using short glasses, but you could serve in glass stemware to make it a little fancier or festive. Don’t forget to ensure there are berries in each glass, and an orange slice garnishing each glass- ENJOY!

Swaps & Substitutions

I recommend using honey as the sweetener in this recipe, but agave nectar is a great substitute. In place of unsweetened cranberry juice, try unsweetened pomegranate juice- both are similar in tartness and color. Use fresh lemon juice if available, but bottled juice is an alternative. I do not recommend using Sprite, Ginger-Ale, or alcohol as these swaps would defeat the “healthy” premise of this “mocktail.”
