Why I Love This Recipe
This is a family favorite dessert that we can’t get enough of! These oat peanut butter balls are better than any “power ball” because they are made with my healthy peanut butter “frosting” recipe. Containing only five ingredients, it won’t break the bank, and it uses pantry staples you likely already have on hand! When it’s no-baking required, gluten-free, and kid-approved, I go for it.

How To Make Oat Peanut Butter Balls
Once I gather my ingredients, I add everything to a large glass mixing bowl. With a sturdy spatula or wood spoon, I incorporate all the ingredients until they are well combined.

Everything should just come together, and the oat moisture should be moistened with the peanut butter. Ensure no dry bits of oat remain.

Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop equal-sized balls of dough onto a parchment-lined cookie or baking sheet.

Freeze for 1-2 hours, then enjoy! You can eat some right away, but they taste like the most delicious cookie dough bites ever when frozen!

Serving and Storing Suggestions
Freezing is not essential. Oat peanut butter balls can easily be stored in the fridge for 5 days, but I like to keep a batch in the freezer for whenever we need a quick treat. I serve these as snacks to my kids, after dinner as a special treat, or occasionally in lunch boxes during the school year. They’re also great to have on hand for any unannounced guests or last-minute visitors who pop over!

Optional Add-Ins
We prefer oat peanut butter balls because they’re simple with minimal ingredients. However, if you want to play around with the recipe and flavor profile, consider these optional add-ins:
- Chopped Nuts
- Dried fruit (craisins, dried berries, freeze-dried fruit)
- Flax seed
- Chia seeds
- Cinnamon
- Pure vanilla
- Flaky salt
- Unsweetened coconut

Frozen Peanut Butter Balls
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all natural peanut butter creamy or crunchy would work, also any nut butter would work
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp. milk any kind
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
- Use a cookie scoop or spoon to scoop out equal-sized balls onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- Freeze for 1-2 hours, then enjoy. Keep them in the freezer for when you need a sweet treat!
